ANNUAL FIESTA AT MEC
Modern Era Convent, B-1, Janak Puri recently held its Annual Day celebrations 2016-17 (Junior) in the school premises. Dr. Bhupinder Singh, Retired Deputy Director of Education- District was the Chief Guest for the day and Sh. H.K.Pandey, Retired Deputy Director of Education- Zone presided over the function. Eminent educationists and other distinguished guests were also present on the occasion.
The programme began with the Lighting of the auspicious lamp by the dignitaries followed by ‘Aradhana’ a prayer and a thanks giving to Goddess Saraswati presented by the students of class-I & II to express gratitude for the countless blessings that have been bestowed upon us.
In all, more than 350 students presented a cultural potpourri of songs, dances and plays. The highlight of the programme was the Dance Drama, “Andaaz Jeene Ka”, presented by the tiny tots of class Pre-school and Pre-primary. Through this, the audience looked back upon the yesteryears with pride and happiness and received the message that the bygone days are the stepping stones to the future.
Another very applauded presentation was the play ‘The Run Away Donkey’ an adaptation of a story by ‘Enid Blyton’ which showcased that relationships are more important than life, but it is more important for the relationships to have life in them which can only be nurtured with love, care and loyalty.
A prize distribution ceremony was also held where
25 students were felicitated with trophies for their regularity and academic excellence. The efforts of Modern Era Convent fraternity were applauded by one and all.
